In the wake of Israel's presumed assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran, Israelis continue to brace for an attack by Iran and Hezbollah. Should Iran directly attack Israel again, it would mark the latest development in the multi-front war against the Jewish state that the Iran-led axis initiated on October 7. Hezbollah has targeted Israel with thousands of projectiles since October 8. Just this week, Hamas fired dozens of rockets toward Israel. All who value freedom, democracy, and the safety of the Jewish people should stand with Israel against these threats.
On Thursday night, Iranian TV broadcast an antisemitic video depicting Olympic athletes smearing blood on an Israeli athlete. A modern-day manifestation of the blood libel, the sketch serves as a reminder of the Iranian regime's ideological antisemitism.
The ARC recorded 140 incidents of antisemitism this week, marking a nearly 30 percent increase from last week. Antisemitism from UK rioters accounts for much of the increase. The ARC recorded 31 incidents in Western Europe last week and 50 this week. The CST reported far-right demonstration leaders praising Hitler, denying the Holocaust, and inciting attacks on British Jews. Meanwhile, left-wing counter-protesters chanted "Israel is a terror state" and distributed flyers saying, "get Zionists out of Finchley."
In the Netherlands, a statue of Anne Frank was once again vandalized by anti-Israel activists who painted “Free Gaza” on its base and smeared red paint, representing blood, on its hands.
In the Middle East, two Israeli citizens were killed and two others injured in a terrorist attack in Holon, near Tel Aviv. In a Middle East with a miniscule Jewish population outside of Israel, continual terrorism against Israeli civilians underscores the persistence of violent antisemitism.
